Digital Services to Support Research Workshop

Workshop: Digital Services to Support Research - an Appraisal of Existing and Future Infrastructure

This one-day workshop was staged at the Saïd Business School, Oxford, on the 13th July, 2012. The aim was to appraise existing and future digital infrastructure required to support research in the University of Oxford. The workshop was staged as part of the Damaro Project, which is seeking to create a unified institutional research data management infrastructure. The workshop also provided an opportunity for the University of Oxford to further consider the RDM 'roadmap' required to meet the expectations of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

After introductions from Prof. Paul Jeffreys, (Director of IT, University of Oxford), and from Ben Ryan of the EPSRC, the workshop delegates heard short presentations about the following elements of infrastructure: The final sessions of the afternoon considered how these services should be classified and further developed by the University. The full workshop agenda is available to download.
